Cookie Policy

Effective date: 21 September 2026

Everworks sets no cookies. This page explains what that means in practice, what the site does instead, and what would have to change before any cookie appeared here.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file that a website asks your browser to store and hand back on later visits, which is how a site recognises a returning browser. Cookies are used for useful things such as keeping you signed in, and for tracking, where an identifier follows a browser between pages or between websites to build a profile of it.

This site sets none

Everworks sets no cookies of its own and permits no third party to set a cookie through it. Concretely, and in the terms a reader would want to check:

Because nothing is stored on your device and nothing is tracked, there is no consent banner on this site. That is deliberate. A cookie banner on a site that sets no cookies would be a false statement about what the site does, and it would ask you to make a decision that has no subject.

What happens instead

Two things, both ordinary and both described in full in the privacy policy.

The server that delivers these pages writes a log line for each request, containing the IP address, the date and time, the URL requested, the response status, the browser's user agent string and the referring page where one is sent. That is how web servers work; it is not a cookie, it stores nothing on your device, and it cannot follow you to another website. Those logs are kept for 30 days and then deleted.

The other is email. If you write to the contact address, the publisher has your message. That is a consequence of sending it rather than of visiting the site, and no cookie is involved.

The one script on this site

A single first-party JavaScript file runs on each page. It does two things: it opens and closes the navigation menu on small screens, and it opens and closes the grouped menus in the navigation bar. It is unminified and readable, it stores nothing, it sends nothing anywhere, and it makes no network request. You can read it at /assets/main.js. With JavaScript switched off entirely, every page on this site remains fully readable and every link continues to work.

Following a link away from this site

Other websites — including the game publisher's site reached through the affiliate link described on the affiliate disclosure page — run under their own policies and may well set cookies of their own. This policy covers everworks.online only. Once you have followed a link, the destination site's own cookie and privacy notices apply, and they are the ones to read.

Managing cookies in your browser

Nothing needs to be done for this site, but browsers give you general control worth knowing about. Every major browser has a privacy or content settings section where existing cookies and site data can be viewed and cleared, where third-party cookies can be blocked, and where cookies can be set to clear automatically when the browser closes. Private or incognito windows discard cookies and site data at the end of the session. Blocking cookies broadly can prevent other sites from working properly — sign-ins in particular — which is the usual trade-off, and it has no effect at all on this site.

If this ever changes

If a cookie, a measurement tool or any third-party script is ever introduced to Everworks, this page will be rewritten to describe exactly what is set and why, and a working consent mechanism will be in place before anything is stored on a reader's device. The effective date at the top of this page will change on the same day. There is no mailing list to announce it through, so that date is the record.
